one layer color

hi there! it has been another crazy week over here! i had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and i have to say, it wasn't that fun. :( i kinda took it easy for a couple days and then after that i was super busy making up for the time i missed while taking it easy! :) the one layer challenges are back over on jennifer and susan's blogs though and i had to make time to play along because i love them and they always challenge my creativity. this week's challenge is on susan's blog and the challenge is to color. i really wanted to use this little ornament from the paper smooches hang ups set, so i decided to create these super clean and simple word cards. i just stamped the letters in gray ink using the alphadots set from paper smooches, then colored the ornaments in with copics, and then used a mini clear dome sticker over the ornament. i have to say, i am really happy with how they turned out! i will definitely be making some of these to have on hand for the holidays. below i showed them each individually. i am interested to know, which one do you like the best? i hope you are having an awesome day! thanks for visiting! :)

 

 

 

less is more

hi there! i've got a couple simple cards to share today. life has been super busy this week and i haven't really had any time to create anything, and then when i finally got a minute, i wasn't really feeling super creative. but then i saw this week's less is more challenge is to create a fruity card, and i just couldn't resist playing along! i just got this new fruitastic set from paper smooches and i have been wanting to play with it! i created these 2 super cas cards, using the little cherries and these cute bananas! :)

 

and here is one more card, for this week's cas challenge on scs, belated birthday cards. i decided to go with a bee-lated sentiment, so i printed on the computer using a kim hughes font. i also used a metal rimmed tag, the little bees from the paper smooches perky plants set, and the martha stewart fringe scissors for the grass. i hope you are having a bee-utiful day! thanks for visiting! :)

 

cupcakes and challenges

 
hi there! i've been playing along with some fun challenges! this week's cas-ual friday challenge is all about sweets and treats, and this week's less is more challenge is all about circles. i wanted to combine the challenges and this is what i came up with. i was inspired by this new sentiment from su, so i used my *favorite* tiny tags die from pti, a retired little cupcake from a muse, and some little red pearls. after i made this card, i checked out this week's featured stamper challenge on scs and it was teri anderson. she is on the paper smooches design team and i love her creations so i had to play along. i case'd this awesome one, and since i already had out the cupcakes, i went with them again! it was an easy choice to pick that card by teri, i love it! i actually bought that sentiment set from paper smooches and the circle set from pti because i loved that card so much, lol! speaking of paper smooches, i was seriously honored to be picked by the ps patrol to have my card on their blog on thursday! totally made my month!!! i hope you are having an awesome day! thanks for visiting! :)
