happy new year!

happy new year! i hope you all enjoyed a fun new year's eve and are looking forward to a fabulous 2008! we had a great time over here! we stayed home and had a little party with just our family. it was a blast! we let the kids stay up until the east coast turned midnight (which is only 9pm for us but we never let them stay up that late so it was a big deal!) and we played games and just had a great time together. it was wonderful. every year on nye we also do our family favorites. we have a notebook where we each write down all of our favorites from the past year, like books, movies, friends, songs, colors, memories, etc so that each year we can go back and see what has changed over the year. we have been doing it for 4 years and it is so cute to see how the kids have changed. after the kidlets went to bed, dh and i rang in the new year playing wii, lol!! we are addicted! :) i haven't had any time at all to stamp so i am sharing a card i made over the summer for a color challenge. i thought it was kind of festive and it would work for a new year's card. i am feeling a lot better and things are starting to settle down over here so i am looking forward to doing some stamping and getting back to posting everyday. happy new year! :) thanks for visiting! :)

This card works great for a New Year's card!! Very festive! It sounds like you had a great evening & I like the idea of "family favorites". That's too funny about the WII. I have never played one yet but everybody I've talked to that has one says they are SO much fun!! I'm very curious!!
