happy monday! today is a special day!! many of you may remember that last year, linda (the owner of a muse) designed a calendar to raise money for scleroderma research, an illness her mother suffers from. the project was so successful, that she was determined to expand the variety of calendars, and find another great cause to support! in honor of victoria nelson, an avid fan of a muse, who is undergoing treatment for hodgkin’s disease, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this year’s calendar will benefit the leukemia & lymphoma society. you can find more information and inspiration on the a muse news blog and you can purchase the calendar on the a muse website.
here are some pictures of the calendar that i created. (click on the pictures to see them bigger) i wanted to make mine as a gift that the recipient could sit on their desk so i slipped the pages i created into a clear cd case to create a frame. cd cases are really cheap and easy to find, i got a package of 10 at target for less than $4. then i made a page with the calendar and one page with a picture. when i send it as a gift, i will send them 2 pages per month and they can just slip them into the cd case each month! these are 2 months that i made so far with the picture and the calendar, and 2 months of just the calendar. you could also do it where the picture stays the same and you just change out the months. i *really* enjoyed making this! i think this would make an awesome gift and i will be making this for a bunch of family members for sure!! it was so fast and easy and i think it is something that people will really enjoy! :) have a great monday and thanks for visiting!! :)
**edited to add: i forgot to mention what size calendar i used for my project! sorry! i used the square size for these! :)
supplies: a muse calendar, stack of books, mb tree duo, hanging spiders, pilgrim boy, 8.5x11 kitchen collection paper, copics, cd case
