hi there! lots of stuff to show you today! :) first off, i've got my last everything's rosy amuse-bouche to show you! this is the big and beautiful marigold stamp! this stamp was shown the other day and all of the creative teams' gorgeous creations i saw inspired me to create this card. this stamp is awesome to color or to leave without coloring, but i wanted it colorful without the coloring....so i paper pieced it! :) i used the watermelon paper for the card and for the flower. i also cut out the center of the flower and popped it up for some dimension. :) i hope you enjoyed all of the everything's rosy amuse-bouche, the stamps are in stores now and will be online soon!
so this week is teacher appreciation week, and geeta, lori and i thought it would be fun to show off the projects that we are creating for our kids' teachers! we are calling it *teacher tag* and we will each have a project each day this week, monday through friday! i personally love making teacher gifts so i have had a blast creating all of the projects! i hope you will enjoy them too! here is my first teacher gift! i *love* making card sets for teachers, and when i give them, the teachers tell me how much they like them and use them, so i keep giving them! :) so i made a set of these notecards for one of my sons' teachers:
totally inspired by these beauties made by jennifer mcguire. i love them! i love how she did hers in all different colors, but i did mine all the same, just to save time. the pencil is paper pieced and popped up, and i used diamond glaze on it like jennifer did. i also took a plastic card box that i had and made it into a holder for the cards.
i just cut off the top flaps of the box so it was open, then used my crop-a-dile to punch holes in the sides and add some large eyelets, then used ribbon as the handle. i sure hope his teacher likes it! :)
one more quick thing to show you! i have a bunch of cork hanging around my craft room, just waiting to be used and i set a goal for myself to make a card with it!! i thought teacher appreciation week would be a good week to do it! i used a su die cut to cut the scallop square shape, and then used chalk ink to stamp the solid apple. this card is big, like 5x5, since the square is so big. i also used a couple cute stamps from the school time clear set. cork is definitely not something i would use everyday but i think it turned out cute and i know my daughter will be excited to give it to her teacher! :) i sure hope you enjoyed these projects! don't forget to check out geeta and lori's blogs to see what they have to share today! i will be back tomorrow with a cool gift for a man teacher! thanks for visiting! :)
The marigold card is perfect! Love the punch of color and how you raised the center. I also love your teacher gifts :) Fun idea to use cork!
