hi there! back again with day 2 of teacher time with me and geeta! i hope you are enjoying the gifts we are sharing. you can see day one right here. we have a different theme set up for each day of teacher time, and today's theme is candy. so here is my teacher gift for today, a little tin with some back to school goodies in it. :) i started off with a *super* cute little tin container from the dollar spot at target. let me just tell you, target's dollar spot is one of my favorite places. i call it the $25 dollar spot because i seem to spend waaay too much money there, lol! it is also a great place for finding fun teacher gifts. i saw these tins there recently, and i thought they were just adorable. they had 2 other colors besides this one, black and hot pink, and for $1 each, the price can't be beat! inside the tin, i put some small things that a teacher might be able to use in the first couple days of school....some antibacterial hand gel, a small packet of kleenex, a king size hershey bar and some note cards. i thought the tin looked like a locker, so i made some matching locker notecards in the same color, using the locker stamp from paper smooches teen routine. i used a few different sentiments too, great job, just a note and many thanks. here is a close up of a couple of the cards, they are extremely simple. one last thing, the tin has the little name plate on the front, so i can make a small insert with the teacher's name on it. for now i just put my name in there, but once i know what teacher i am giving it to, it will change it out with their name. :) so that is my project for today, i sure hope you like it! be sure to check geeta's blog and see what teacher gift she has created for today.
one more thing to share today, the new paper smooches spark challenge was posted monday, and it is a really cool image. i decided to create a card for the challenge, and since i have school cards on the brain, that is where i went with this challenge! i was inspired by the 2 colors of the couch that stood out to me the most, red and blue. i was also inspired by the squares, so went with the square notebook paper stamp from smarty pants. i stamped and paper pieced the apple from the same set, and then added crystal effects onto the apple to make it shiny. this would make a really easy set of teacher cards too! :) click on the inspiration picture below to head over to the paper smooches spark challenge. i still have lots more teacher gifts to share, so i will be back on friday with my next one! thanks for visiting! :)

Jennie - I love how simple you kept this card. I went the complete opposite direction with my interpretation and included every last color on that sofa. LOL. I love seeing so many different ideas from the same inspiration piece - it's what makes challenges fun! Thank you so much for playing along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge!
