hi there! it is day three of teacher time with geeta and i! you can see day one here and day two here. we are definitely having fun creating all of these teacher gifts, i hope you are enjoying them too! :) today our theme is teacher thank you card gift sets. i made a couple sets for today and some little boxes to hold them. i have been making these boxes for years for teachers and i just love them. i love that you only use one 8.5x11 sheet of paper and i love how the instructions are so easy to follow and the box turns out so cute! :) the possibilities of this box are just endless, imagine the cute cards and matching boxes you could give for *so* many different occasions! you can find the terrific instructions right here: card box by valerie.
the first set i made are a very basic thank you note. very clean and simple, and definitely easy to mass produce. i paper pieced the pencil, and punched a couple notches in the top of the card, and it was done! both stamps are from paper smooches, the pencil is from the smarty pants set and the thanks is from the simply said set.
on the box, i used a notebook edge punch across the top to give it a school-y feel. the box can hold up to 8 cards and envelopes.
here is the second set i created. i wanted to go with a less traditional school theme on this one. maybe this would work as a gift for a computer teacher or even one of the people that work in the school office. i paper pieced the computer from the teen routine set and used the hello from the word salad set. i popped up the monitor of the computer so it has a little dimension, and this is also a very simple card that would be easy to mass produce.
i like the color combo on this set a lot. a ribbon on the box and the gift is complete. :)
so that is another day of teacher time! i hope you enjoyed it. this also works for this week's cas-ual friday challenge, which is to create a back to school project. perfect timing, since i have been creating back to school gifts all week! :) be sure to head to geeta's blog to see what she is sharing today. we will be back on monday, wednesday and friday next week with more teacher gifts to share! thanks for visiting! :)
