teacher time day five - paper smooches day! :)

hi there! today is a big day! besides being day five of teacher time, today is my first day as a guest designer for paper smooches! ahhhh! *so* exciting! i feel so happy and honored to be the guest designer this month. paper smooches are my favorite so i am just thrilled! :) on top of all that, today is the start of the nfl season!!! could today get any better? :)

so let's start with today's teacher gift. geeta and i are sharing the teacher gifts we are making for the new school year, here is day one, day two, day three and day four. today's theme is paper smooches stamps. :)

a while back i saw this project on heather's blog, she used pre-made notecards and personalized them. i loved this idea, and decided to give it a try while i was making teacher gifts this year. i found the same cute woodgrain notecards at target (aka my favorite store!), it was a package of 24 notecards and envelopes for about $6 so the price was really reasonable, plus it came in this really sturdy box tied with twill that you could also use to give them in once they are personalized. i used the pencil from the smarty pants set, and i paper pieced it using one of the notecards. since it came with so many notecards, you could actually divide them up into 2 sets. i have to say, this is my favorite teacher gift that i have made this year. i just love the colors and the simplicity of it. i hope you like it too. :)

and here are the 2 cards i created with the new great chemistry set that are on the paper smooches blog today. i kept them both clean and simple. on the first one, i used the dots from the teen routine set as a shelf for the beakers, and i used *lots* of crystal effects on them. this set is so fun! :) 

on this one, all stamps are from the great chemistry set, except the little notebook paper stamp, which is from the smarty pants set. :)
